Resources[edit | edit source]

Resources are fundamental elements tied to regions in Republik of War, representing the natural production capacity of land.

Definition[edit | edit source]

Each region on the game map possesses a specific resource type: Food, Weapon, or House. This represents the primary commodity that the region can produce daily.

Resource Levels[edit | edit source]

  • Levels: A region's resource exists at a specific level, ranging from None, Low, Medium or High
  • Visual Representation: On the region page, this is often displayed as Level ResourceName (e.g., Low Food).
  • Base Production: The level determines the base daily amount of that resource produced by the region. A Medium Food region produces more Food daily than a Low Food region.
  • Maximum Potential: Currently, High is the highest possible level the resource can reach in that region.

Managing Resources[edit | edit source]

  • Ownership Benefit: The country that owns a region receives the daily production of its resource.
  • Increasing Levels: A region's resource level can be increased through specific actions:
    1. Winning a Battle/Round: Successfully defending a region can prevent its resource level from decreasing if the wall is breached.
    2. Winning a Research Race: As described in Research Race, winning a race grants the right to propose a law to raise the resource level, up to its maximum potential.
    3. Conquering a Region: When a region is conquered, its resource level might initially drop. Subsequently raising it requires winning Research Races (if contested) or direct management (if not).
  • Decreasing Levels:
    1. Losing a Battle/Round: If a defending region's wall is breached and the defender loses a round, the resource level typically decreases by one.
    2. Time Decay: Some resources might naturally decay over time if not actively managed (though this is less common).

Distribution to Companies[edit | edit source]

While regions produce raw resources daily, they don't directly go into player inventories. Companies extract products from the availability. If a region has 2000 resource points for Food, and producing Q2 Food uses 2 resource points: the region can allow a maximum of 1000 Q2 food to be produced per day. Therefore, it's important to manage companies in a region.

Importance[edit | edit source]

  • Economic Foundation: Resources are the bedrock of a nation's economy. Controlling regions with high-level resources (especially Weapons for military strength, or Food/Houses for economic/population health) is crucial.
  • Strategic Target: Regions with valuable or high-level resources are prime targets for conquest and fierce defenders.
  • National Wealth: A country's total resource production directly impacts the wealth and productivity available to its citizens through the company system and congressional resource allocation laws.

Understanding resource management, including how to acquire, protect, and enhance them, is key to national prosperity and power.
